Roadside Assistance Solutions

Since its inception in 1902, the primary objective of the American Automobile Association (AAA) has been to serve its members. AAA’s flagship program, Emergency Roadside Service, strives to respond to member calls for assistance in the shortest period of time. In an effort to minimize response time, a number of AAA clubs are using Digital Wireless’ iPilot 8000™ mobile computer.

The iPilot 8000™ provides AAA clubs with dispatch capabilities and much more. Digital Wireless’ on-board mapping software has been integrated with AAA’s proprietary call management software, the D/2000, turning the iPilot 8000™ into a navigation system, directing the service vehicle right to the member breakdown location.

The iPilot 8000™ has also made it possible for the e-Tow Manual to be added to clubs’ Emergency Roadside Service operations. The e-Tow Manual, integrated with D/2000 call management software, automatically generates towing procedures for the specific make and model of the member vehicle that has requested a roadside service.

The versatility and expandability of the iPilot 8000™ allows it to meet the rigorous demands of AAA’s Emergency Roadside Service both today and tomorrow.

Contact us for more information on how the iPilot 8000™ can reduce your customer service response time and optimize your fleet operations.

“ AAA/CAA chose the iPilot 8000 computer because its features align with AAA/CAA road service communications business needs and it is backed by an industry leader in the field of transportation mobile computing, Digital Wireless, Inc. AAA/CAA works closely with DW on specific integration projects with peripheral equipment and wireless modems.”
- Gary Ruark, Manager AAA Fleet Communications.
